FRIDAY:  Good Friday Service will begin at 7pm in the worship center.   No Crossroad & College & Young Adults Bible study this week. Join with me as we meditate a message that will take us back to the moment of Jesus' sacrifice and final breath on the cross.
SATURDAY:  We will have a Dinner Social Gathering at Rafat's house at 7pm this Saturday. Here is her address: 5743 Baldwin Ave Temple City CA 91780.   Feel free to contact James or Rafat at 626-551-9824 for dinner reservation and any other questions.

SUNDAY:  A special Easter message AWAKEN with James @ 9:15am for College & Young Adults meet in Conference room and Single Adults (30+)  will meet @ 10:45am in RM 201. Would you join me and friends at FBCA this Sunday for Spiritual Renewal?   No Courtside-Basketball Outreach this week.

Also, we have a Family Promise Volunteer Opportnity coming up in two weeks.  CONNECTIONS will be sponsor a dinner for homeless family on Friday April 20th from 5:30 to 7:30pm at FBC Pasadena.  This is a great community serving opportunity as we share God's love with the poor and needy people.  Please read the attachment letter for more detail or contact me if you have any question. There will be an Informational and Q & A Luncheon for volunteers at noon on sunday April 15th at Family Life Center(Gym). Greetings Friends at Connections!

We had a wonderful experience with the Master Pageant show and Friend's Day potluck gathering last sunday.  There are many events happenning on this weekend as well. 

 

FRIDAY: Crossroad will continue the book study "Seven Reasons Why You Can Trust the Bible" at 7pm in Rm 209. College & Young Adults will be studying the "Book of Isaiah" at 7pm in room 205 & Family Life Center for Volleyball at 8pm. Join us as we learn about Bible and how to be the person God intended us to be.

SATURDAY: Come and join other Brothers and Sisters as we will clean our beautiful campus this Saturday. The church work day will start from 8am through 12pm. Lunch will be provided.

SUNDAY: Alhambra First Baptist Choir will be presenting a special musical at both service this Sunday. So don't forget to bring a friend to attend this concert.

New series "Mr. And Ms Right" with James @ 9:15am for College & 20 somethings meet in Conference room AND Single Adults 30s and up will meet @ 10:45am in RM 201. Would you join me and friends at FBCA this Sunday for Bible study?

Hope everyone had a wonderful St.Patrick's Day weekend.  We have many events happening this weekend!

 

Crossroad will be presenting a documentary film call "180 degree" at FLC 209 this friday.  This 33 minutes film will rock your world.  So bring a friend to watch this award winning film friday night @ 7pm. 

 

Also, we will be having our monthly Friend's Day monthly potluck at almansor park this sunday at 1pm.  I want to see many new faces this sunday at the park.  By the way, your guests don't need to bring a dish to share.

Our annual winter retreat at big bear last weekend was a great success again.  We all had an incredible time.  You can tell by looking at our pictures in our blog.   Thank you leadership teams and all of you that attended this year's retreat. 

We will start a new series call "Mr. And Ms Right" this Sunday.  This is a fun and interactive series.  We will discuss about what man want in a woman or what woman prefer in a man.  So come and learn about the opposite sex.

Dear Friends at Connections!

We had a great leadership team meeting last Friday as we have initiated a new monthly potluck event call "Friends Day".  The intention is simple.  Bring a new friend.  We will be meeting in home or any public places such as local parks for our monthly gathering.  If you are interested to be a host please talk to Raquel Marquez or Dave Kornoff. 

Also, The weather will be nice up at big bear for our Annual Winter Retreat this weekend.  Please meet at church parking lot this Friday at 5pm for loading food, drinks and your personal items.  We are leaving promptly @ 5:30pm.  The cabin has provided us blankets, pillow and towels so you don't need to bring it.  Just bring a warm jacket and change of clothing for 3 days.  Pray for good health and travel mercy  as we are heading up this friday night. 

By the way, NO Crossroad bible study this Friday night.

Dear Friends at Connections!

What a joy to know six people will be baptizing during the first which four of them are single adults attending at our church this Sunday.   So let us celebrate and welcome them to our family. 
Let me know if you are interested to become a member through baptism.  Also, there will be a special concert presented by California Baptist University Women Choir this Sunday night @ 6pm.  So you don't want to miss this opportunity for great music.

By the way, there will be no Crossroad bible study this Friday.

We had a great turn out at the Superbowl party last Sunday.  Pastor Josh and his youth groups had joined us as we watched the NY Giant incredible came from behind victory over the Patriots.
Once again, my email account has been hacked into earlier this morning.  I just changed my password.  I hope it won't happened again.

This is a community outreach program geared towards adults who are interested to play basketball. A typical afternoon involves five on five basketball, prayer and fellowship. We seek to reach out to men in our community.

Time: Every Wednesday Night, 8:30pm.

College Students & Young Adults Gatherings(20s ): 7pm (FRIDAY)

This is an alternative Christian worship gathering that is geared towards college students & adults in their twenties. A typical evening involves intimate music worship, prayer, inspiring conversation on what it means to follow Jesus in this generation. We seek a life of faith that engages our minds, souls, and culture.

Location: FLC Rm 205 & Volleyball in Family Life Center
Time: Every Friday night, 7pm.
Group Leaders: William Ruth & Dave Kornoff

Crossroads(30+): 7:00pm (FRIDAY)

This fellowship gathering is for single adults(30 years and older) where they can connected with God and build and nurture friendships with each other. We will have Bible study, activities and special workshops.

Location: FBCA Rm 209
Time: Every Friday afternoon, 7:00pm

College Students & Young Adults Bible Study(20s ): 9:15am (SUNDAY)

This is a Sunday gathering towards College students and adults in their twenties. A typical morning involves with thought-provoking dialogue on topics we concern about in our daily life. We seek in-depth searching in the word of God that we will think about our life, our character, and the skills required to live our life well and to lead others.

Location: FBCA Conference Room
Time: Every Sunday morning, 9:15am.

Connection is a Sunday gathering towards adults in their twenties and thirties. A typical morning involves with thought-provoking dialogue on topics we concern about in our daily life.
