The time is quickly approaching for CMTA training in Pasadena convention center. It will start on April 19th-20th(Friday and Saturday). If you are interested please let me know asap which date you will like to attend so so we can reserve a name tag for you. We have a lot of great activities and programs ahead of us. Game night for College and young adults is coming up on April 27 at 5pm So save this day on your calendar for a night of fellowship, games and fun!

My Fellow Connections Members and Friends
We had a great time battled with each other at our Game Night last week. Our very own Raquel Marquez was ahead in the tournament but was overcame by Danny Sanchez at the last minute for an old fashion came from behind victory that earning him the big "W" and the prize. It certainly was a fun night and I know I am looking forward to do it again in the future.
Just a friendly reminder we have an amazing Easter weekend planned and we hope you can join us for the celebration.
Join us for Good Friday service at 7pm for a time of worship, prayer and the Lord's supper.
For Easter Sunday we will begin with the new study series "Who is This Man? Does it Matter?" at 9am in FLC Rm 208 and worship gathering at 10:30am in the main worship center.
Happy Easter! We'll see you this weekend at FBCA.

My Fellow Connections Members and Friends
The 2nd Annual Game Night(Single Adults 40+) is coming up tomorrow night at 5pm in room 103. We still have spots opened if you are interested to join for either poker or monopoly tournament. Just show up and we will assign a seat for you. The winner of each tournament will receive either the movie tickets or gift certificates. You are welcome to watch or play other board games during the tournament as you wish. Drinks and refreshment will be provided.
Also just to remind everyone that we are approaching the most significant week of the entire year for followers of Jesus. The experiences that happened between Palm Sunday, the upper room, the garden of Gethsemane, Golgotha, and the empty tomb redefined history and eternity.
We will start the Palm Sunday experience with the new series "Who is This Man? Does It Matter?" at 9am in Rm 208 and follow by the Special Musical at 10:30am in worship center this Sunday. My prayer is the study series and services planned for this weekend will be a moving experience that you'll find meaningful to your spiritual journey.
Don't forget to join our study groups this weekend as we learn about the Bible and how to be the person God intended us to be.

We had so much fun hiking at Echo Mountain last Saturday. I noticed some of you are really good at hiking. It was a challenge for me to catch you guys while going up to inspiration point. Definitely, we will go hiking again.
By the way, our 2nd Annual Game Night(Single Adults 40+) is coming up on March 23rd(next Saturday). Don't forget to sign up with Stanley Lenggu or myself this Sunday to guarantee your spot if you are interested to join the Poker or Monopoly tournament. My Fellow Connections Members and Friends
It's time for some outdoor activity as we welcome the spring season 2013. We will be headed to Echo Mountain this Saturday. This is a half day and easy hike as we are going up to see the historical hotel and gorgeous view around the canyon. I suggested you to wear comfortable hiking or tennis shoes and bring a light sweater as may be cool in the morning. Meet at church parking lot for carpool at 7am if you are interested.
There will be a musical presentation by USF choir this saturday at 7pm, worship center. The fun part is that we are asked to serve and clean up after dinner with Steve (from Atherton) at Family Life Center this Saturday. Please come to family life center at 5pm if you are interested.
We will start a new series "Who is This Man? Does It Matter?" this sunday at 9am in Rm 208. Let's come and learn about Jesus and his humanity.
By the way, thank you everyone who came to the All Church Work Day last saturday. I can see our facility is nicer this week.

Just a friendly reminder All Church Work Day will be tomorrow morning from 8-1pm. There will be a list of project for everyone to work on. So join us if you are free.
Also, don't forget to sign up for Family Promise at the lobby this Sunday. I strongly recommended everyone to join this noble effort if you haven't done it yet. We will be hosting at least three to five family this month from March 10th through 16th. For more question please contact Neil or Patty Fry at 626-419-1061

This sunday we will meet in room 103 after service worship for our monthly Leadership meeting. As I said before this meeting is opened to everyone. Your ideas and thought are welcome at the meeting. If you are too shy to share and want me to bring it up at the meeting please email or call me. Also, it's the finale of Lunar Festival; or Chinese new year this sunday so this mean we will be having rice ball which is a signature of Chinese fetival food during our meeting.
Don't forget, we will continue the "Beyond" series this sunday. We meet at 9am in Rm 208. So come and live beyond self and beyond walls.
A sad note, our very own Kruez's mother had passed away in Taiwan this week. Please pray for him and the whole family during this difficult time.

I hope your week is going well. This week is Single's Awareness Day; or Valentines Day so no matter what you have planned this Valentines Day, I want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.

Are you cheering for Ravens or 9ers? Perhaps you don't care because you are a LA fan like me. Anyhow, Connections will be throwing a Super Bowl Party this Sunday at David Kornoff crib at 3:30pm. Light Snacks and drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring your favorite snacks and drinks as we eat, watch and play till the game is over.
