My Fellow Connections members and Friends!

We had a great time celebrating Christmas among our fellow Connections family members and friends last friday night. Once again thank Raquel for hosting us at her place! Speaking of events, we will be having a BBQ potluck gathering at Rafa's house right after church this sunday. Please contact her if you plan to attend the gathering so she can get a head count for lunch this Sunday. Bring a side dish or dessert if you can. Also for those who are interested in seeing the Christmas light, we will meeting right after the Christmas Eve Service(begin at 5:30pm) this coming monday at about 6:30pm at the front office. We will go out for dinner right after the tour. So please contact me by phone or email if you plan to attend so I can make arrangement for carpooling.

Just a note, our fellow member Kruez's mother who has sufferred pancrea cancer. She is in critical condition and doctor's diagnosed that she will not last for more than 2 months. So please remember her in your prayer. Feel free to drop him an email kreuz9@gmail.com with word of encouragement.

Good Morning Fellow Connections members and Friends!

Once again we will be having our Annual Christmas Party tomorrow night at Raquel's house. This is one of our biggest event of the year. If you haven't responded yet on Evite or email you can still do so. Just let me or Raquel know. I really want to encourge everyone to attend. Like I said you are welcome to bring guests to this party. We will have delicious food, great Christmas program and tons of fun tomorrow night. So you don't want to miss out. The party will start at 6:30pm. As always, arrive early or late, leave whenver you have to. Seeing one another and sharing exciting things in our lives are something that make us different than other groups. We will continue our "40 Days in the Word" video session this Sunday with Pastor Tommy Kyllonen from Crossover church in Tampa, FL at 9am in Rm 208. Jud will be teaching on Psalm 119:24 . Let's go deep in our spiritual walk as we strive to make a difference in this world.

Take note the Volleyball night will be cancelled through out the Month of December due to busy holiday season. We will be notify all of you when we will start up again in January.

By the way, just a friendly reminder that this week is our turn to clean up after refreshment about 10:20am at the patio.

Good Evening Friends at Connections!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who is able to volunteer for Family promise at FBCA last sunday. We have carried out our mission once again as "light and salt" in our community by serving dinner to homeless families. If you were not able to serve, fear not, we have plenty of service projects coming up that you can be taken a part in. Also, thank you Rafa for openned up her house again for our After Thanksgiving Potluck Party last Saturday. We had a great time and certainly bonded the friendship among us.

A sad note to share with you all, our very own Christopher Curtis's father has passed away early this afternoon. Please continue to pray for Chris and his family during this difficult time.

We will continue our "40 Days in the Word" video session this Sunday. This sunday we will be watching Pastor Rick Warren from Saddleback church, CA at 9am in Rm 208. Rick will be teaching on Matthew 7:24. Let's go deep in our spiritual walk as we strive to make a difference in this world.

First of all, I will like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. May God bless richly bless you and your family. Speaking of Thanksgiving, we have couple of special events happening this week. The All church Thanksgiving Dinner is on tonight at 6pm in family life center. Please bring a side dish to share if you plan to attend.

The Thanksgiving Volunteer opportunity this Thursday at Central Park, Pasadena has been cancelled due to outpouring of kindness from the community. Thank you for thinking of serving again this year. However we will be volunteering to serve dinner with Family Promise this Sunday at 6pm here at our church. We will be serving at least four homeless families and volunteers about 15-20 people this coming Sunday. So please bring a dish to share for a minimum of 5 people. The kitchen will be opened at 5pm. Feel free to use the main kitchen here at family life center to cook or you can drop off a dish if you can't stay. Good afternoon Friends at Connections!

We had a great turnout last night. We had at least 430+ people went through our lines for hotdogs and water. I think this is why we have chosen to be a part of Light the Night as we are able to make an impact in our community. Again, I wanted to thank everyone who show up and support the vision of being "Light and Salt" for our community last night.

Also, I just want to let you know that the College and Young Adults retreat went very well last weekend. We had a great worship and small group experience among 70+ College & young adults within our TM/CLC churches. I am blessed to hear their testimonies. I hope you can join us next year.

Just a friendly reminder our "40 Days in the Word" video session will return this Sunday at 9am in Rm 208. Come to be bless by His word and learn how we are able to make a real difference in the lives of those in needs.

We will continue our "40 Days in the Word" video session with Pastor Ron Sylvia from Church at the Springs in Ocala, FL this Sunday. He will be teaching on Psalm 119:45

Don't forget to register for College/Young adult retreat on October 26- 28 at 1000 Pines. The cost has been reduced to just $99.00 for two nights and 5 meals (3 meals on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday). Sign up and registration deadline is this Sunday. Let me know if you are interested.

By the way, there will be NO Volleyball Outreach this Thursday due to TM annual conference. However there will be a Volleyball Match at Cal State Los Angeles this Saturday begin at 7pm.
