I had a such a blast time last weekend. Firstly, hanging out with all of you at Balboa Park and then visiting the gigantic US Midway aircraft carrier in the afternoon and concluded our trip at the famous Coronado Hotel in San Diego. I will like to thank Maizie for taking the time and effort to lead the whole trip. Also, I was thrilled to witness our very own Alex Liao professing his faith that Jesus Christ is his Lord and being baptized last Sunday. Let's continue to pray and encourage him as he begins his journey with Christ.

By the way, I am excited about the Lytle Creek camping trip that is coming up on September 27-29. If you are interested you need to sign up and pay your due with Maizie bythis Sunday to secure your spot. As I have said before, the whole trip will cost $40.00 and that will include bed,meals, drink and gas. What a deal. We only have few spots left. As we remember the tragic event 12 years ago today, I'd like to share a quote from Rudolph Giuliani, former Mayor of New York City, “The attacks of September 11th were intended to break our spirit. Instead we have emerged stronger and more unified. We feel renewed devotion to the principles of political, economic, and religious freedom, the rule of law and respect for human life. We are more determined than ever to live our lives in freedom.” That being said, let's continue to pray for our nation, political leaders and government.

we had a great leadership board meeting last Sunday after church. Many of you have participated and gave valuable suggestions to what we are doing in our ministry. Your suggestions and involvement are the key to make the Connections ministry better and stronger.

A few things to remind you all. We are going to Balboa Park San Diego for our monthly social this Saturday. We will leave promptly at 8am from church parking lot. If you are interested and need carpool please contact Maizie Tam ASAP at 626-716-0302 or email maizietam@yahoo.com to guarantee your spot.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Labor Day last weekend. Just a quick reminder, if you haven't sign up for our fall trip to Lake Mountain Campground with Richard. You probably will like to do it soon. We will be going on the last weekend of September, 27-29th and there are only 12 spots available(Priority for 3 days stay). This is a great opportunity to enjoy a weekend gateway with other Connections members and friends. The whole trip will cost $40.00 and that will include bed,meals, drink and gas. What a deal. Many of you have known that we have postponed our monthly leadership board meeting till Sunday September 8th due to Labor Day weekend. Also some of our members will be going to a retreat at San Diego this weekend. So let's relax and enjoy the labor day weekend!

In other news we will begin to sign up for our fall trip to Lake Mountain Campground in San Bernardino on September 27-29 this Sunday.
