As we remember the tragic event 12 years ago today, I'd like to share a quote from Rudolph Giuliani, former Mayor of New York City, “The attacks of September 11th were intended to break our spirit. Instead we have emerged stronger and more unified. We feel renewed devotion to the principles of political, economic, and religious freedom, the rule of law and respect for human life. We are more determined than ever to live our lives in freedom.” That being said, let's continue to pray for our nation, political leaders and government.
we had a great leadership board meeting last Sunday after church. Many of you have participated and gave valuable suggestions to what we are doing in our ministry. Your suggestions and involvement are the key to make the Connections ministry better and stronger.
A few things to remind you all. We are going to Balboa Park San Diego for our monthly social this Saturday. We will leave promptly at 8am from church parking lot. If you are interested and need carpool please contact Maizie Tam ASAP at 626-716-0302 or email maizietam@yahoo.com to guarantee your spot.
Again if you haven't sign up for our fall trip to Lytle Creek camping trip on September 27-29 with Richard. You need to sign up soon for we only have a few spots left. As I have said, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a weekend gateway with other Connections members and friends. The whole trip will cost $40.00 and that will include bed, meals, drink and gas. What a deal. The deadline to sign up is September 22nd. Hurry before it's too late. If you are interested please contact Richard Salgado @ 626-614-7833.
That's all for now. I hope to see you all on Sunday!
