Connections Weekly Newz‏

My Fellow Connections Members, Leaders and Friends

The Thanksgiving Holiday are here. I am sure many of you will spend time with families and friends to give thanks. So there will be no Wednesday and Fridays Night Bible study this week. However with the TRUE Connection mission of serving beyond self, we will be joining Union Station Homeless Mission in central park Pasadena for a service opportunity from 8-2pm tomorrow morning. We are scheduled to help set up tables and chairs around the park between 8-11am. For those who have signed up and wanted carpooling please meet at church parking lot at 8am. We had a tremendous attendance to the All Church hiking last week. At least nine of you attended the hike. I had a great time hiking up the hill, visited the famous TV drama series the MASH site and fellowship with all of you last Saturday. This Saturday let's work out all the food we had from Thanksgiving feast with Maizie as she will be showing us how to have a good time playing Volleyball. Just a note, Pastor Rivas's wife will be making "Menudo" for us. Bring a few dollars so we can all chip in for the food. The fun will begin at family life center from 10:30-12:30pm and lunch social afterward! Contact Maizie at 626-716-0302 or maizietam@yahoo.com for information.

By the way, we have started a new series called The Story last Sunday. This is one of my favorite series that I have prepared to share with all of you. As I have said last week, each of us has a story. We have families, fall in love, experience failure or betrayal, face conflict and overwhelming challenges, and long to be loved and accepted for who we are. The Story is about God’s great love affair with humanity – the story of the Bible. Join us for a unique opportunity to read through the Bible in a way that's clear and easy to understand.

Also, we will be having a short meeting to finalize our Annual Christmas Party after church in Room# 205 this Sunday. Please be sure to attend if you are on the Christmas party committee. All members are welcome.

Don't forget to check our upcoming social and service events below this email. Sign up for our Annual Christmas Party on Invite as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Serve Beyond Self!

James Tsang
