Connections Weekly Newz‏

My Fellow Connections Members, Leaders and Friends

It was nice to see some of you at the "Father's Day BBQ" gathering. We had a great time eating, fellowship and play some 3 on 3 basketball last Saturday. I could tell that I couldn't jumped very high while shooting the basketball after eaten all that steaks and chickens haha. Anyway, thank you Pastor Rivas and the Men's ministry teams for hosting this gathering. Speaking of BBQ, we will be having an all church BBQ gathering on 4th of July. It will be held at Alhambra Park from 10am to 2pm. So you don't won't to miss this opportunity to taste the international luncheon and to connect with people right in our neighborhood. Sign up for the 4th of July BBQ at the foyer this Sunday.

I am happy to announce that our very own David and Judy's wedding will be held on this Saturday at 3pm at FBCA main worship center. Come to celebrate this special day with them. I know your presence will be a blessing for this beautiful couple. By the way, David and Judy are asking for help to set up before the wedding tomorrow night. You can come to help decorate the Sanctuary begin at 6pm or family life center(gym) for the reception at 7pm. Also, they are asking for volunteers to sit at the guest book station to greet guests and someone to serve punch during the reception. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact me 626-716-8618 or Raquel Marquez 626-484-1619 if you are interested.

We will continue our series on Life and Ministry of Jesus. Come this Sunday as we look at some of the parables that Jesus taught and how it can make an impact on our lives.

That's all for now, Have a Bless weekend!

My Fellow Connections Members, Leaders and Friends

The FBCA Men's ministry will be hosting a special Father's Day BBQ here at FBC campus from 12-2pm. You and the whole family are invited for food, fun, fellowship and a three on three basketball after lunch in the Gym. Also, join us this Sunday for Father's Day celebration at 10:30am in worship center. Every fathers and men will get a gift certificate from Fosselman's ice cream during worship hour.

We will continue our series on Life and Ministry of Jesus. This week we will be looking at The Galilean Ministry of Jesus. In this Bible account, except for Jerusalem, Jesus spent almost eighteen months there. According to one author, He spoke approximately 70 parables and performed 35 miracles. So most of the parables and miracles of Christ recorded in the gospels took place during the Galilean ministry. For this Sunday, we will focus on the first tour of Jesus where He healed a leper instructing him not to tell anyone and show himself to the priest (Mt 4:23-9:17, Mk 1:35-2:22, Lk 4:42-5:39).

That's all for now, Have a Bless weekend!

Connections Weekly Newz‏

My Fellow Connections Members, Leaders and Friends

Join us this Sunday as we continue our series on Life and Ministry of Jesus. We will be looking at the Bible account of the Woman at the Well. In this brief summary of the Bible story, it tells a story of how Jesus surpassed our human tendency of judging others because of stereotpyes, customs or prejudices. Instead He treats people as individuals and accepting them with love and compassion.
That's all for now, see you all on Sunday!
