Good morning Friends at Connections!

I just want to introduce our new weekly "Volleyball Night" again here at FBCA family life center. We just started a couple weeks ago where we meet every Thursday night from 7-9pm. This is a community outreach for everyone who want to exercise and learn to play volleyball. Come join us for a fun evening tonight! We will continue our "40 Days in the Word" video session with Pastor Dino Rizzo from Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, LA this Sunday. He will be teaching on James 1:22-25.

College/Young adult retreat: Friday October 26- Sunday October 28 at 1000 Pines. The cost has been reduced to just $99.00 for two nights and 5 meals (3 meals on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday). Sign up and registration is opened NOW. Let me know ASAP if you are interested.

Also, our monthly Leadership Meeting for Single Adults(Any members are welcome as well) will meet right after worship service this Sunday. See me at the front office as we decide where to have our lunch meeting.

Good morning Friends at Connections!

I had a wonderful retreat at Hume Lake this past week. My soul, spirit and body is refreshed and renewed. I saw a deer wandering in the woods then run in front of me as I did my morning walk around the lake. It's amazing. God is so good! I am encouraged everyone of you to take a break from work or school and spend some time alone with God.

Anyhow, we will continue our "40 Days in the Word" video session with Pastor Tullian Tchividjian from Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL this sunday. He will be teaching on I John 2:3-6.

Good News! We have find a date for our College/Young adult retreat: Friday October 26- Sunday October 28 at 1000 Pines. http://www.thousandpines.com/programs/youngadultretreat/ This was originally planned as a 1000 Pines program event in September, but they did not have enough signed up and decided to cancel it. We decided to have our own program with at least five other church groups. The cost has been reduced to just $99.00 for two nights and 5 meals (3 meals on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday). This is an exclusive retreat for us so space is limited. Sign up and registration will start this Sunday. Let me know ASAP if you are interested. Good Afternoon Friends at Connections!

On the eleventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, let us remember those who were lost and give a helping hand to the needs in our community as a Good Samaritan.We will continue our "40 Days in the Word" video session with Pastor Bob Coy from Calvary Chapel in Lauderdale FL this sunday. He will be teaching on Luke 11:28.

Just want to let you know the College & Young Adults Retreat @ Thousand Pine has been cancelled due to low registration. The good new is we(couple churches) are still working on a backup plan to have our retreat. I will let everyone know if there is any update.

By the way, let's showed our strength as it's our turn to clean up after refreshment this Sunday. Just be at the front patio where the long tables are at about 10:20am. Chris and Sabrina will guide you through the clean up. Thank!

Hello Friends at Connections!

I hope everyone had a great labor day weekend. I want to Thank Rafa for hosting a wonderful BBQ gathering at Live Oak Park last sunday. Also, I was glad to hear the Conference went very well and our members Stanley, Imelda, Emily, and Nannie was back safely from UC San Diego.

I would like to welcome our guests Daniel and Brianna for visiting us last sunday. Let's continue to bring more guests and potential members this sunday as we continue our "40 Days in the Word" series with Pastor Miles Mcpherson from Rock church in San Diego, CA this sunday. He will be teaching on Psalm 119:165.
