My Fellow Connections Members, Leaders and Friends

Many of us had a great time going out to the bondfire gathering at Huntington Beach. The ocean wave and the splashing sound just nurture my soul. Again my thanks to Richard and Maizie for all the hard work they did for us last weekend.

We will be having our August Ministry meeting at noon on Sunday, July 28 at the family life building room 205. All are welcome to attend, especially if you want more information or are looking to get more involved, I have plenty of projects and events for people to manage and get dirty with, so please let me know if you're interested or just show up! Those that have projects and events that we're getting into in the next few months need to be in attendance.

And finally, just a friendly reminder that the summer series titled "Finding out Your Passion" had already started few weeks ago. This week we will look at how we were created with enormous power to do good (2 Corinthians 9:6-11). So join us this Sunday as we continue our noble calling to be the "light of the world".

Fellow Connections Members, Leaders and Friends

Join us as we are going back to Bolsa Chica State Beach for our Bondfire Gathering this Saturday at 5pm Today is the last day to sign up. The cost is $10.00 included Gas, food(hot-dogs Chicken and meat) and drinks. Please pay your fee to Richard Salgado when you see him this Saturday. We will be leaving at 3pm here at church. Also, we have started a new series titled "Finding out Your Passion" based on the book called Stand Against the Wind: Awaken the Hero Within by Erwin Raphael McManus. I had a fun time hearing your views and comments last Sunday. So join us this Sunday as we continue our topic on the Freedom of life.

I hope you all had a great 4th of July. I cannot believe how quickly the month of July has come and almost half way has gone. This mean that we are close to our Bondfire beach gathering July 20th next Saturday. We will let you know more in detail in term of price for food and gas this Sunday or next week. Also, we are begin a new series titled "Finding out Your Passion" based on the book called Stand Against the Wind: Awaken the Hero Within by Erwin Raphael McManus. I liked what he said about passion and life. He said" When God is your desire, you can trust the passions of your heart. In this state you can most fully live a uniquely passionate life. It is not incidental that the death of Jesus is called the Passion." Join us this Sunday as we discover and awake Godly passion in your heart.

We had an awesome time spending our day at the beach last Saturday. We have seen some interesting boats and yachts while we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Yard House. Also, all of us had stepped out our comfort zone and get ourselves wet at Bolsa Chica state beach. It was great to connect and fellowship with those who show up and for those who can't make it, you are greatly missed.

As you have known our all church 4th of July BBQ gathering will begin tomorrow at 5pm here at FBC Alhambra church patio. Join us for food, fun and fellowship with others church goers as we celebrate Independence Day. There will be a suggest donation of $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids under 12.

Just a friendly reminder that Single Adults are going to Shoreline Village at Long Beach this Saturday morning. We will be meeting here at church parking lot @ 9am if you need carpooling. Please confirm with me so I can save your seat.

Also, don't forget to sign up for 4th of July all church lunch gathering at Alhambra Park. It will starts from 10am to 2pm. You don't won't to miss this opportunity to enjoy the international luncheon and to social with people right in our neighborhood. There will be a suggest donation of $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids under 12. Sign up with Pastor Mary at the foyer this Sunday.

By the way, our Monthly Leadership Meeting will be this Sunday right after service in room 205. Join us as we pray and plan for our future events.

The finale series on the Life and Ministry of Jesus will be this Sunday. So join us as we wrapped up the series with a deeper look at the last week of our Lord's life.
