Happy Thanksgiving from James

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now." Philippians 1:3-5

Recently I began my four year serving the FBCA/Connections family. I wish I could put into words how enormously thankful I am for all of you. It's more than you'll ever know and deeper than words can express.

-I'm thankful for authentic community that happens in Connection Groups in small groups, house gatherings and classrooms where Connections belong, grow and serve each other.
-I'm thankful for the generous spirit of so many FBCA who honor God first with their resources to advance His causes in this world.
-I'm thankful to be part of a church that loves people far from God, loves their neighbors, and which truly believes the church is not all about "us", but those who have yet to experience His amazing grace.
-I'm thankful for the humble shepherd/leaders who serve on our bolunteer staff who model with their lives what they preach with their mouths.

FBCA/Connections, simply put, I'm thankful for youAlso, we will take a break this Friday night gatherings. Same as Court-side @ 3pm this Sunday as well. We will resume next week!

Connections will be throwing a Christmas party on Dec 11. This is the bigggest event of rhe year. We had over sixty people show up last year. This year we will be mailto:celebrating@Lily home. We will provide the appetizers, salads and beverages. Please bring a main dish or dessert to share and a $ 10 gift for white elephant gift exchange.

We had a blast time at Jin Akanishi concert last Tuesday. Thank you Esther Park for the free tickets!By the way, we will be doing clean up after refreshment hour this Sunday. Please bring snacks and food if you can. Also, we will be having a all church meeting and potluck this Sunday after the 2nd worship service. Suggest donation of $5.00 if you don't bring dish to the potluck.
Don't forget about the "The Me that I Want to Be" small group bible study series on Friday night @ 7pm and the "Finale of the Inside Out" study series @10:45am this Sunday morning. Marcus Logan will be sharing his story and mission works at Alaska during 10:45am hrs as well.

Pop Concert @ Nokia Center

Jin Akanishiis the former lead vocal in the popular J-pop group KAT-TUN, JIN AKANISHI helped establish numerous records. Their 11 CD singles, 4 CD albums, and 7 DVDs all reached #1 in the Japanese trade magazine Oricon (the Japanese equivalent of Billboard magazine), and in 2009, KAT-TUN became the first musician to perform eight consecutive days at Tokyo Dome, the largest and most prestigious arena in Japan.

Thank you for volunteering at our biggest community outreach event of the year on Halloween night. This year we had over 700+ show up again at our campus. I had the chance to meet many guests and long time friends as well. We all had a wonderful time building relationships and unleash God's compassion to our community. Also I noticed there is a growth in our young single adults department in the past two months. So let's continue to pursuit God and building an authentic community for single adults in our community.
