My Leaders, Friends and Connections Members

We all had a great time going to Cruise Night andWatermelon Festival last weekend! Thank Frank and Maizie for bringing us to these two fantastic events.

This Saturday, we will be preping the walls atLutheran Social Service in Long Beach. So be ready to get yourself dirty. We will work in the morning then go out for lunch around noon. After lunch we will go shopping and have some fun water activities in the afternoon at Alamitos bay . So bring some spending cash and comfortable clothing to change. Interested? Also, I will preach again at worship center this Sunday. So to share my load, our very own Alex Liao will be speaking with us at our regular 9am bible study this Sunday. So come to support him and hear what God is doing in his life.

Lastly We will have our monthly Leadership Board meeting this Sunday after church in room #103. We will update you on Rainbow Acres, Summer beach trip and All Church Picnic at the Park.

My Connections members, Leaders and friends, 

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July BBQ gathering at the church patio last friday. Again, we had a great participation and interesting discovery at theMinistry board meeting last Sunday. We took about half of our meeting to complete the survey. Here is what we have in our group- you ready for this? an evangelist (Stanley), a prophet/mind reader (Kruez), two more pastors(Maizie and Richard), and three compassionate servant (Imelda,Frank and Denny). This is amazing! a special group of people who can make a different in our world for Jesus! Friends, it's not too late to discover your God's potential gift in you. Ask me this Sunday if you are interested to take the spiritual gift inventory survey. 

By the way, Pastor Mike asked me to spearhead the All Church Picnic at the Park in September. The purpose for this fun gathering is to promote our various ministries,bible study groups, fellowships and activities during the Fall season. I am currently forming a committee to accomplish this project. Feel free to contact me if you or you know someone who may be interested to be on the committee. Currently, I am seeking volunteers to fill these positions: Park Coordinator, Registration Coordinator, Food Coordinator, Game Coordinator, Transportation Coordinator, and Set up/Clean up Coordinator. Interested? Ideas?

The all church 4th of July Independence Day BBQ gathering is on tomorrow at our church patio begin at 6pm. Feel free to bring a friend and enjoy time with family, friends, fun and, of course, fireworks! A suggest $5.00 donation per adult.

Also, it's the first Sunday of the month. This mean our monthly Ministry board meeting is on this Sunday after service in room #103. We will take the first half of our meeting to do our spiritual inventory and then go over our summer and fall events. All members and friends of Connections are welcome!

Don't forget to join our bible study series The Story this Sunday! We will be reading the Story about The Plan of God for our life this Sunday. Let's encourage each other to follow Jesus in every area of our life begin this Sunday. The Godly inspiration begin at 9am in room#208.

Again enjoy the 3-day weekend, whether you barbecue, relax at the beach, spend time with family, or watch some fireworks. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
