Hello Connections members, Leaders and friends,

It's that time of year again! Lunar New Year -Year of the Horse is fast approaching and we'd like to welcome in the new year by celebrating with all our members and friends. Come join us for an afternoon of great food, friends, and fellowship! The dumplings potluck gathering will be held at 12:30pm at Sophia's home (right next to our church campus) this Sunday. Also,the Volleyball gathering is back tomorrow from 10am-noon. Come and work out your leg, muscle and enjoy a healthy lunch(Optional) prepare by Maizie's friend afterward. Please sign up with Maizie Tam at 626-716-0302 or maizietam@yahoo.com in advance so we know how much food we need to prepare. A suggestion of $5.00 donation per person for lunch.

I'm continually reminded of the incredible impact reading The Story on our groups. I hear comments like, "I've never read the Old Testament before," or "The Story is just easier to read and I feel like I understand it better." When we read and understand God's Word, it changes us. And I get excited about being part of a church groups that experiences the hope and power of God's Word. So that being said, we will continue The Story this Sunday morning at 9am in room #208.

By the way, our Winter retreat sign up is on. We will spend our President's day weekend Feb 15th-17th. up at a beautiful two story cabin surrounded by trees at Twin Peak CA. The price will be $90.00 per person includes cabin stay,gas and meals. A deposit of $50.00 will guarantee your spot. This is a great opportunity to relax, meeting friends and enjoy doing winter life together. Trust me this is the one you don't want to miss out. Space is limited. Hello Connections members, Leaders and friends,

We had a great start for the series The Story for both Sunday morning and evening group. This is a series that look at how God spoke to us through events and characters in the Bible. This is a great time to begin or resume reading through the Bible if you haven't start it with yourself or with a Connections group. Check below this email for the time and classroom.

Also our Winter retreat is just around the corner. I hope we can get a cabin reserve on President's day weekend Feb 15th-17th. I have no idea if you ask me the exact location for this year as now but we are working on it. The price will probably be around $100.00 that includes cabin stay and meals. Trust me it will be fun and at a place up in the mountain where you can go skiing, snowboarding and have snowball fight haha.... Just save the date and your spot for now for we tend to run out of room. I will update you once we have more information.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!/Momentum Tomorrow‏

Happy New Year Connections family and friends

I am happy to be back and ready to roll. We as a church family are going to begin the new year with building the kingdom debt free and experience financial freedom. We as a church staffs are excited about this program call Momentum. I encourage you to sign up this Sunday at FBCA campus if you haven't done so. There will be an introduction luncheon to give you the nuts and bolts of this amazing program after worship service int family life center(Gym) this Sunday.

Also, our Sunday morning series The Story is back at 9am, room 208 this Sunday. This is a series that look at how God spoke to us through events and characters in the Bible. So here is a question I like to ask all of us...if God is speaking, are we listening? THis is also a great time to begin or resume reading through the Bible with yourself or a Connections group.
