We had a great Ministry board meeting last Sunday. I was thrilled that everyone of you have shared your hearts and thoughts about our upcoming fellowship group which will begin this fall. We all agreed that there is a need for it. Also we briefly go over the role and duties for each board/committee position. I feel this board if function correctly will turn our entire Singles ministry into a powerful movement of God within and beyond the walls of our church. That being said I am praying for everyone of you to spend some time reading, praying and considering these positions for the purpose of serving God and His people. The duties for board/committee position file is attached in this email. The ministry board/committee election will take place on Sunday August 3rd. This will give you two months to prepare yourself for the service. Also one important date to put down on your calendar is the spiritual gift inventory meeting which will be held on Sunday July 6th. We will take 30 mins to do the survey and discuss our uniqueness and strengths at the meeting. This will be a fun and team building activity that you don't want to miss.
Don't forge our bible study series The Story this Sunday! Again, for those who are new to The Story, its an unique, brief and easy format to highlight the entire Bible. The Bible is filled with exciting and intense stories of love, war, birth, death and miracles. There's poetry, culture, and history and theology. Also, what I love reading the Bible is that it offers a glimpse of people in a different time and place who are yet very much like us today! We will be reading the Story of a King who had it all this Sunday. Let's encourage each other to follow Jesus in every area of our life begin this Sunday. The Godly inspiration start at 9am in room#208.
